This gem of a cheese is a fresh, stretched curd, which is porcelain white in colour. It is sphererical in shape with an extremely thin glossy rind. bocconcini has a springy texture and a pleasant milky taste with a faint mossy aroma, reminiscent of humid pastures. It has a very refreshing taste and is well known for its ability to adapt to other flavours and add texture to dishes. Serving Suggestions

Gourmet Bocconcini is:

  • perfect to toss into any salad along with the herbed and spiced oil to add a glorious taste and sense of luxury. 
  • superb to top left-over chicken, red meat or fish and heat under grill to add moisture and flavour.
  • as a layer or two in a meat or vegetarian lasagne or any layered dish.
  • added to ripe peeled and seeded tomatoes, left to marinade overnight in the fridge and cold use as a sauce on hot freshly cooked small pasta such as 'ditali' as a perfect summer dish.
